Lucas began his second year at St. Paul's Episcopal School on August 31st, 2011. As a first grader, he has some thoughts on the difference between 1st grade and Kindergarten.
His report after one week:
Lucas: 1st grade is much harder than Kindergarten. We only have 'choosing time' one day a week and we have to work all day long. And we have homework.
Yes, Lucas, school actually evolves into learning and work, much to your dismay.

Gemma starts Kindergarten
One week into Kindergarten, I inquire about her day.
Me: Gemma, what did you learn today?
Gemma: That fish need to live in water.
Me: That's right. Why?
Gemma: Cause they'll die.
Yep, I guess that about sums it up. What more do you really need to know?
